A friend asked me to participate in a charity auction for the Columbia City Ballet. Artists were provided a pointe shoe and could create anything out of it. Here's what I came up with:
As part of First Thursdays on Main, I'll be having a show at Anastasia & Friends with Lindsay Wiggins! Come see us and all the cool new art! Some oldies too. ;)
Got to create these for a Cantina 76 Snapchat filter series. Sometimes client work is super fun. :)
Its pronounced "Tuh-CAH-mo-hawk"... kinda like Tomahawk, but with a 'cah' thrown in there. Because its Native American.... obviously.
Sometimes I get an idea of an image in my head and it won't go away until I make it. It consumes me and goes straight to the top of the long list of things I want to draw. Other works in progress get tossed to the side. Even if the idea is as stupid as this one. I can't help it.
I think the way you build your taco says a lot about you as a person.
Pretty serious in subject matter, but old work that still looks cool makes for a happy hump day!
A little background: Designers Against Child Slavery was a Design Collective that enabled creatives from all over the world to rise up against the sex trade. Expose was the first exhibition by DACS; Original artwork was auctioned for charity to The Blind Project in efforts to raise money for women who are victims of slavery.
Hope he's in doggy heaven with all the big macs
Just for fun. :)
A throwback and its not even Thursday. :O Here's an illustration you might have seen when I first made it for NY Spirit Magazine. Now you can love it again!
Recent personal commission I finished and had printed. Super fun, and I think it captures a lot.
I was recently commissioned for a Tee Shirt Design that someone wanted to give to a friend as a gift representing her paddleboard touring business. A great gift, if you ask me!
If you ever find yourself in the Florida Keys, check out Aquaholic Adventures.
Here's the latest Story Shack illustration for "Lawyers, Car Dealers and Other Whores" by Gary Ives, one of my FAVORITE Story Shack writers (and writers in general).
Here's a mini I drew for a personal commission. Fun!
"Ten Second Rule" was accepted into Artfields 2017, so we're off to a good start. It will be my fourth year of participation. One time I entered a deer and it got in. So I guess that shows it doesn't always have to be a vehicle? Sometimes it has to be deer.
Another one just for fun. Not trying to be blonde. Just trying to have spaghetti for hair. But I do look badass as a blonde. And yes, those are meatballs in the background.
